She not only provides psychological services to the elderly, but also provides staff training and support in the management of the psychological and behavioural symptoms that affect those resident in aged care facilities. Fees and Rebates for Individual Clients
Consultation fees vary with the type of service provided. In some cases, the fees can be adjusted to take into account some aspects of a client’s financial circumstances.
Psychological services are not covered by Medicare. However, MedicarePlus has provided assistance for some individuals since 1st July 2004. Others who might be eligible for government support are victims of crime, those injured in the workplace/traffic accident and veterans.
Private Health Insurance
Funds often include a rebate for psychological services. As the availability and type of rebate varies across the different funds and the type of cover purchased, contact with that fund will reveal the extent of the rebate.
Fees and Rebates for Aged Care Facilities
Consultation and Education Fees vary with the type of service required. Quotes will be provided. That document will set out the costs associated with the provision of the education sessions, staff supervision and report/s requested.
